Vehicle Description
This is a monster with 635 HP and 780 Lbs of torque. Just in case you need to tow your house with you on your trip. Then again, it is plain fun to listen to mozart while you blow the doors off pretty much any car on the road including a few Ferrari's and Lambo's. The factory SL600 is no slouch mind you, but we figure let's make this a real beast, increase the turbo boost and fuel flow map, change the waste gate setting for a more aggressive program, a brand new high flow intercooler pump that is 3 times the factory capacity to keep that charge air nice and cool for clean combustion. However all that power with no traction would be a waste. Like a Boxer in stilletos ( EWWW) ! So we fitted it with the strongest wheel there is ( Also the lightest 20" forge aluminum wheel made for an SL on record ) from Carlsson of Germany. The bigger wheel gives the lower side walls more stiffness and improves handling and the wider tire ( 305 rear and 275 front , both a 10% increase ) just gets more rubber on the road and that is never a bad thing for a car with more torque than a Mac truck! Lighter wheel also means lower unprung weight and that actually improve comfort as there is less bounce due to lower inertia when the wheel have to follow the curvature of the road. Also because these are custom made ( $16000 a set for true custom made to specific vehicle ) wheel for an SL, the offset is correct, meaning no wheel rub and steering feel and alignment is also uncompromised. So what we got is a faster, better handling, more comfortable Screamer. Oh did i tell you the factory governor at 155MPH also got changed to 189 when we change the TCU ( transmission control unit ) to better match the power characteristic of the tuned engine., A lip spoiler gives it a little more down force and gives it the right finishing touch. All that rounds out what this is all about. FYI all the modifications carry a 1 year factory warranty and Renntech is not new, they have been tuning mercedes for sometime and we have sold many and it is a flawless conversion.
This particular car is dealer inspected and was a Mercedes certified preown car with recent extensive service done. You can get the service record from any mercedes dealer with the vin number and they will tell you it needs nothing. Extra cost options are keyless go, nav , CD changer, Blue tooth,alcantara headliner, power trunk closer and vented seats. It comes with both keys, wind screen, manual, air pump, tools, spare and mats. Piant is like new, so is the interior. everything works as it should, no story to tell other than a car that was sparingly driven and well maintained. Brand new Dunlop extreme performance tires on flawless Carlsson wheels with books and both keys. This is the car to get for a faction of the new car cost and it will out perform the SL65 and offer a little nicer interior with the factory NAPA leather and wood steering wheel too. Looks , Brains and brawn , all for less than a new corvette! Also platinum level bumper to bumper warranty from 1-4 years with selectable deductible can be added at our cost for your maximum assurance.
