Here is some clarification as MOST dealers are listing the wrong car and they don't know it. Lowest on the ladder is 4.2 granturismo, no body kit and quad tail pipe. Next up is 4.7 engine but still no body kit but called the gran turismo S , it is a car made up with left over engine put in a non S body. then we have the S with quad pipe, 4.7 and body kit but a regular automatic transmission with paddles on the steering for decoration as none of the previous 3 models have a real F-1 transmission. Then we have the F-1 S with all the s parts but the real robotic, f-1 trasmission, you can see it does not have a stick shifter in the middle of the console. This one IS THE REAL LIMITED PRODUCTION F-1 S WHICH IS A TRUE COLLECTOR CAR AND ALSO THE FASTED AND MOST FUN . It has been called the granturismo s with robotic shift, paddle shift, auto-manual, Ferrari 599 paddle shift...all kinds of descriptions...the fact is , this is the fastest and most efficient transmission ever offered on any year Granturismo as it does have double plate clutch that is actuated by computer control servo motors that replaced your left foot's function on the clutch so you no longer have to worry about your left foot. It shifts with a touch of your finger and because it does not have a torque converter that weighs a hundred pounds wet and robs power due to the nature of the beast, this is the quickest and most responsive Maserati Granturismo you will ever get to drive if you are one of the lucky 299. For marketing sake, they no longer import this version to the USA other than model year 2009 so that is what makes this a rare car and one of the more expensive version with a sticker of $144K even back in 2009. FYI it does have auto mode so if your fingers are too tired to touch the paddle shifter, it will even do it on it's OWN!!!! NOW MORE ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR CAR. One owner from day 1 and serviced religiously at Maserati in palm beach and i have all the receipts posted. Latest service is the very costly valve cover gasket and brakes. Anyone who knows Ferrari engine will know light gasket oil drip is as sure as sunrise and only the most fastidious owners will spend thousands replacing it at the first sign of moisture, and here we have one that is exactly that. It would be felonious if we have sticky buttons like all of them do unless you pay thousands to have it refinished and voila, we have that done too! The service done through the years shows the owners dedication to a perfect car and i welcome any buyer to inspect it at any length you want. We also have maserati do a computer clutch scan to make sure the clutch is in good shape and driven under capable and loving hands. Our research paid off as it shows the clutch have a wear of only 30% which is remarkable as most at this mileage are anywhere from 50 to 80% worn. The scan also reveal another aspect that is most encouraging, it shows overheat time of ZERO seconds! Ask your local Maserati trained technician how rare that is as that implies it was never revved up and shift but very careful done at low rpm and never raced in it's entire life! As a matter of fact , the more you look ar market price the cheaper this car will seem as it is literally like a brand new car less $90000. Please no low ball offers as this is not that 6 owner 50K mile car , this is for someone who want the best driving Granturismo and understand the true value and exclusivity of this rare car. Interior is darn close to perfect with no leather shrinkage or cuts. Wheels are perfect and tires are all about 60%. Also shows on internal computer next service due is in 11000 miles. If you know what this car is, you know you have never seen one this good. If you just want a Maserati to cruise in, we have those too at lesser price, take a look at our other offerings. Thanks for looking and happy motoring.
