Vehicle Description
At the heart of every Maserati is the Ferrari V8 engine. Maserati engineers set out to do their own styling and suspension tuning. As Maserati became more successful in the U.S., it is evident to their Ferrari owners that they need to steer the marque to a differnt niche than their big brother Ferrari. So starting 2007 they pretty much directed maserati to a sedan and luxury 2+2 only market in the U.S. although the gransport remains in production in Europe. The new grand turismo is a great car but it has gotten a lot bigger and much less nimble then the gran sport. Hence the last true U.S.Maserati sports car is the 2006 Gran sport. As the name implies it is not just a gran tourer as sports is in it's genes. The suspension have been vastly revised from the earlier coupe with entirely different suspension geometry, lower ride height and bigger wheels and lower profile tires. The transmission is now paddle shift only that was lifted from the Ferrari 575 but with a much faster shifting program that is reduced by over 50% shift time ( .18 second vs .4 second ). Body changes at the nose, side and rear makes it a much more sporty looking stallion. And the elimination of the resonator with X pipes give it that much more of a V8 rumble that is truely intoxicating as well as adding an extra 10 horse and a bit more torque. A bigger steering wheel also give it a sportier and more reassuring feel to complete that entire transformation. The interior is also fitted with a racier seats and differnt dash. The result? an entirely different car that is quicker in all aspects and livelier in personality, and just darn sexy too boot!
All that raised the base price to $98000 and change and then there is this version the LE which adds another $6000 making it a base price of $104,000. But you do get a lot for that $6000, like the skyhook suspension ( $2370) with driver adjustable gas shock and exhaust flap control, driver and passenger heated and memory seats ( $720 ), cd changer ( $775),auditorium 200 sound ($925 ),xenon headlight ( $1125 ),and full leather dash ( $1200) . It almost sounds like bargain with all that for just $6000.

What makes this car extra special is that it is 100 % clear title with no accident and also a very very rare SINGLE owner car. Which means it was driven by someone who knows how to take care of it and a car that had no issues in it's entire life. Previous owner also had the brakes done before turning it in at lease end.
